Nazar Abbas Naqvi is a public financial management expert with more than 20 years of experience working in the public and development sector of Pakistan strengthening their public financial management capacity, including expenditure management, budget analysis, planning and policy, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation.He has worked on international donor funded programmes, including USAID, DFID, Asian Development Bank, European Commission and the World Bank. Nazar has worked on election observation in Pakistan for national, provincial and local government elections. He has also delivered extensive capacity training to local government elected representatives including Nazim/Mayor, Naib Nazim/Deputy Mayors and Council members on Local Government Laws, Budgeting and Participatory Planning in Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh and KP. He imparted trainings in budgeting to a large number of District Government Officials, as well as financial management training to support staff of Health and Education Department in FATA. Nazar’s deep understanding of the current context and challenges within the Pakistani governance sector enables him to provide valuable guidance regarding district administration and effective resource allocation. His working experience has the areas of Local Government, Elections, Budgeting, Monitoring & Evaluation, across various regions of Pakistan (Federal, Punjab, KPK, Sind, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA and AJK), Nepal and Thailand.
